100% Local-First Storage Architecture
TheFoodFind is architected from the ground up as a private, sovereign tasting notebook. We believe personal dining opinions, table companion scores, dish ratings, and tasting notes should never be harvested, brokered, or monitored.
On-Device Storage
Dish records, rating scores (1–10), and captured photos are processed and stored directly on your iPhone.
Zero Account Tracking
No registration, no email address, and no account creation required. You remain completely anonymous.
In-App Purchases & Subscriptions (Foodie Pass)
In full accordance with Apple App Store Guideline 3.1.2(c), our subscription model operates with total transparency:
- Apple Payment Processing: All financial transactions are managed by Apple Inc. through your Apple ID. TheFoodFind never accesses, receives, or holds your billing address, credit card numbers, or banking information.
- Receipt Verification via RevenueCat: We utilize RevenueCat SDK to securely validate StoreKit purchase receipts and activate subscription entitlements. RevenueCat receives only anonymous app tokens and transaction identifiers.
- Automatic Renewal & Cancellation: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the conclusion of the billing cycle. You may cancel anytime via your iOS Apple ID Settings > Subscriptions.
Camera & Media Library Permissions
TheFoodFind requests iOS Camera and Photo Library permissions strictly when you choose to photograph a plate or attach food imagery to your dish scorecards. Photos captured are saved locally to your device’s sandbox and are never uploaded to remote advertising or image-recognition databases.
Zero Advertising & No Tracking Disclosures
We strictly follow Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) principles:
- We do not track users across apps and websites owned by third-party companies.
- We do not partner with data brokers, ad networks, or user profiling vendors.
- Anonymous system crash logs are provided strictly through Apple's native opt-in diagnostics.
Data Retention & Permanent Deletion Rights
Under GDPR, CCPA, and Swiss FADP regulations, you hold absolute sovereignty over your data:
Instant Single Deletion
Swipe or tap to delete any course verdict, dish photo, or tasting record directly in the app to purge it permanently.
Complete App Wipe
Uninstalling TheFoodFind immediately erases all stored records, cached ratings, and custom configurations from your device.
